Production
We carry out two various production processes depending on the intended end use. For aluminium profiles and components we use a direct hot extrusion process. For aluminium tubes and bars with a requirement for very precise tolerances and dimensions, we use the cold drawing.

Production processes include ingots brushing and heating, extrusion on the presses with a special cooling system and runout tables, tensioning, cutting to length, heat treatment.

Production on state-of-art extrusion presses with focus on high quality standards and technical perfection is carried out in accordance with European certifications ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and TS 16949.

Direct hot extrusion process
In direct hot extrusion process, the aluminium ingot, after being heated to the right temperature and cut to the required length, is pushed under high pressure through a steel extrusion die and thus takes on the cut shape of the face of the extrusion die and the shape of the aluminium profile.
Production takes place on direct extrusion presses whose rated output amounts from 11 to 35 MN, where the following dimensions can be extruded: full aluminium bars in diameter from 7 to 83 mm and maximum of 320 mm circumscribed circle for aluminium profiles and components. -
Cold drawing
To produce cold-drawn aluminium tubes, a heated aluminium ingot is pushed through a steel extrusion die first – as in direct hot extrusion process, followed by a second operation, where the cooled aluminium tube is cold-drawn through a calibration die and continuous straightening on a drawing line.
The result is a product with narrow tolerances and diameters, superior surface finish and higher mechanical properties. ALUTERN offers precision drawn aluminium tubes and bars in AW 6060 and 6082 alloys mainly.

The transportation and packing of aluminium profiles plays an important role in supply chain. Finishing processes
We offer a complete cutting and non-cutting machining of aluminium profiles and provide surface treatment by anodic oxidation (anodizing) and powder coating.

Aluminium is a metal with very good machining and forming. It is perfectly suitable for further mechanical processing into complex parts and components. Its machining gives many opportunities to customize aluminium profile exactly according to your needs and use it directly in the final product.

The machining
The machining process menu includes the following operations: CNC machining, installation of thermal break bridge, cutting including angle cuts, drilling and tapping, milling, punching, brushing and deburring.

Surface treatment
For surface treatments we have a range of solutions, which bring the advantages and provide high quality appearance of aluminium profiles. Surface processes are carried out in accordance with the guidelines and technological requirements of Qualanod and Qualicoat certification.

Anodizing
Anodizing is one of the oldest and more sustainable surface treatments of aluminium. On our in-house anodizing facilities with the most modern technology, we offer anodizing in various colours with a layer thickness from 1 micron to 25 microns. Before anodizing, we can perform additional pretreatment of aluminium profiles by using satinating or polishing unit - on the customers request. Our anodizing facilities can be use as a pre-treatment for powder coating as well

Powder Coating
The powder coating process is a very flexible method to achieve a long-lasting and durable finish. Powder coated surfaces have a high chemical and mechanical resistance. We have a horizontal and vertical powder coating line with the possibility of using all common and base colours in RAL shades and special colours of the highest quality from IGP, Tiger Drylac, Axalta Coating Systems, etc.
